What is Teen ACTS?
Teen ACTS is a parish-based, layperson ran retreat that offers high school students an opportunity to encounter the love of Jesus Christ. Using prayer, service, fellowship and testimonies, the ACTS Retreat meets people where they are in their spiritual journey and invites them to experience Gods love for them. Why is this important? It helps teenagers develop a personal relationship with Christ and helps them become strong leaders in their communities.
The retreat begins Thursday evening, July 31st, and ends on Sunday, August 3rd, with the 11:30 AM mass at St. William’s in Tewksbury.
What Happens over the Weekend?
Teen team members give personal testimonies about the highs and lows of their faith journey and how they “kept the faith” or in some instances “ran from their faith” just to come back to it when they needed it the most. We use the acronym A.C.T.S. throughout the weekend to show how to live out our Catholic faith.
